Helping at home
By the end of 3rd grade, children are expected to know all products of two one-digit numbers from memory, and with them the matching division facts. These sheets mix every divisor from 1 to 10, so your child has to think about each one rather than follow a pattern.
Mixed sheets show which facts are still slow. A child who flies through the 2s and 5s but pauses at 63 ÷ 7 has found the facts to practice next. Zero and one can be tricky too: 8 ÷ 1 = 8 and 8 ÷ 8 = 1.
One way to help at home: time is not the goal at first. Have your child circle any problem that took a while, then practice just those facts the next day with flash cards or a quick quiz in the car. When a whole sheet feels easy, they know their facts.
Practice the same skill as a game
In larkit, your child plays this skill on screen, with a second try and a hint when a problem is hard. Free to try, no ads.
